Getting Back the Lost Glow On Your Skin

There could be many reasons contributing to the lost glow in your face like age , pregnancy , outdoor profession , medications etc.. Try to identify the reason and follow the remedy to get quicker results.

Clean Face:

The first and foremost thing to keep in mind for maintaining a natural fresh look on the face is to keep the face clean by cleaning it with natural home based cleansers. And once the accumulated dirt and pollutants are removed from the face, the natural glow on the face is restored and it gets the pristine and fresh look.

Avoid Direct Sunlight:

Protecting your skin and face from the direct sunlight by the use of either sunglasses or hat or sunscreen creams or even an umbrella would be helpful in retaining as well as maintaining the facial glow. Thereby this would prevent the pigmentation of the skin. Remember that you should never go out in the sun after applying facial creams or even moisturizers as this would darken the skin on the face.

Drink enough water:

Consuming the required / sufficient amount of water in a day keeps the body and face hydrated and thus helps in maintaining the natural glow of the facial skin. Hence drink as much water as you can to keep the body healthy and hydrated. And this even helps in flushing out the toxins in through metabolic wastes and thus keeps the skin of the body and face naturally pristine.

Avoid Makeup

These commercial beauty products on  prolonged usage will make the face dull and spotted. Walking in sun with makeup, going to bed without washing face and all those types of mishandling will get your skin affected easily.Hence it is better to minimize makeup products and keep the face as much natural as possible.

Home Made Natural Face Packs:

A natural home-based face pack is one of the best home remedies for having a glow in the face. There are several commercial face packs available in the market which can be bought and used at home.  However, some of the face packs can be easily prepared at home and applied on the face. Few of such face packs are:

Saffron Milk Pack:
Put few saffron strands to four to five tablespoons of warm milk and add Two to three lime juice drops to form a mixture. Apply it for 5 to 10 minutes and wash it off with cold water.

Strawberry Honey Pack:
Mash 2 to 3 strawberries, mix with honey and then apply a thick layer. Leave for 20 minutes and then rinse off. The natural exfoliating action of strawberry results in a smoother texture and healthier white skin. This is applicable to all skin types.

Orange Peel Pack: (not recommended for sensitive skin)
This is one of the best face packs that is every effective in giving the natural look on the face and also helps in clearing the skin to remove the accumulated dirt and pollutant.
Dry the orange peel in the sun and on completely drying, add some Bengal gram to it and grind it to a powder. Take one or two spoons of this powder and make it to paste either using cool water or milk or even cream less sour curd.
Apply and wash it away after half-an-hour.

Grape Lemon Pack(not recommended for sensitive skin)
Take 2 tbsp of fresh grape juice, mix 1 tbsp of lemon juice and 1 tbsp of wheat flour. Apply and then wash off after it dries completely. Remove the pack in an upward direction using a wet cotton pad and then rinse off with cool water. This face pack help tightens skin pores, stimulates skin renewal and gives a sparkling white skin.

Sugar Lemon Pack (not recommended for sensitive skin):
Mix some sugar in few drops of lemon juice and apply it on to the face. If you are mixing on the palm, use little olive oil so that it doesn't stick on the hands.

Apple Pack(recommended for sensitive skin):
Take some peeled apple slices, add 1 tbsp of milk cream and 1 tbsp of rice powder. Blend well and keep in the freezer for 5 minutes. Apply this cold pack on the face and wash it.

Note: Using citrus ingredients like lemon oranges should be done with care for those with sensitive skin.
